Please request more information if you would be interested in a future tour of Provence.

Provence is known for its charming towns, excellent wines, beautiful Mediterranean climate, and artists like Van Gogh and Cezanne. With fresh seafood, local olives, strawberries, and peaches, you’ll enjoy the food as well as the views.  Tour highlights include a boat ride and picnic through the Calanques, a Provençal cooking course, market tours, and vineyard visits to Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Bandol.

CALANQUES TOUR

Cruise inlets lined with limestone cliffs and hidden beaches. The sparkle of the sun off the pale green sea of the Mediterranean sets the stage for a picnic lunch aboard our boat.

MARKETS OF PROVENCE

Discover the best markets of the region. Colorful, crowded, filled with local produce: eggs, cheese, sausages, breads, candy and sweets.  Spoil yourself with soap, scarves, shirts, coats, and jewelry – shoes too!

AVIGNON ADVENTURE

Visit the walled city and the Palace of the Popes, the Pont St. Bénézet (the half bridge of Avignon) where you can dance if you want to, or delight in an aperitif at one of the cafes that line the Place d’Horloge.

COOKING CLASS

With a local Chef, we learn how to prepare Provençal dishes using traditional techniques to make an unforgettable meal.

WINEMAKER VISITS

Sojourns to Violes and Chateauneuf-du-Pape educate us on the wines of the Rhone Valley. Further south we investigate and enjoy the wines of Bandol.

CHARMING VILLAGES

Explore the narrow cobblestone alleys of the tiny medieval village of Séguret, and shop the markets of Gordes and Lourmarin, all considered the most beautiful villages of France.
