The landscape of Piedmont in Langhe-Roero and Monferrato is the first vineyard landscape in Italy to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This region is filled with rolling hills, quaint villages, prized vineyards and gastronomic traditions. It is home to Italy’s most famous red wine Barolo and the even more preeminent epicurean delicacy the white truffle. With all of these culinary treasures it is not hard to understand that it was in this region where the Slow Food Movement began back in 1986. September 29-October 4, 2025
Nestled in northwest Italy, the Piedmont region boasts a rich history intertwined with winemaking. Its name, “Piedmont,” translates to “foot of the mountains,” reflecting its stunning landscape nestled between the Alps and Apennines. On this tour, we will visit Alba, the “White Truffle Capital of the World,” during the annual truffle fair. Experience an exciting truffle hunt, visit a hazelnut farm and wineries, learn to make pasta, and savor the region’s exquisite cuisine and wines.
